Viktor Fröjd is educated at the Street Dance Program at Åsa Folk High School outside Katrineholm and has a bachelor’s degree in Dance Pedagogy focused on Street Dance from DOCH – Dans och Cirkushögskolan (School Dance of Dance and Circus) in Stockholm. He started his dance path in the battlescene and has several wins in different battles and is also hired as judge. He has been teaching dance and choreography for 20 years for dance companies such as Skånes Dansteater, Norrdans and educational institutions like SKH (Stockholm University of the Arts) and professional classes
for Danscentrum all over Sweden.

His artistic practice has progressed through a series of acclaimed and praised performances both as a dancer and/or choreographer, produced around Sweden during the past ten years. Last year he choreographed and danced in the Duet Tracks and was also a dancer in the piece Landscapes choreographed by Anna Öberg. Other acclaimed works as a choreographer are the commissioned work Locus (2023) by the Swedish National Touring Theatre and self produced Sinnes. Festen premiered in 2021 and has been on two Dancenet Sweden tours and has also performed in Oslo. The
site specific performance Tillvaron by Scenkonst Sörmland premiered 2020 and the improvised performance Var Dag in 2017.

About the workshop
We will start the day together through pulse and rhythm with techniques and concepts based in house dance. The aim is to release, expand and get deeper into our body, mind and soul. No previous experience in house dance is required.

Et samarbeid med Soul Sessions Encounters
Denne klassen arrangeres i samarbeide med Soul Sessions Encounters som er scenekunstfestival med fotfeste i street- og clubdance. 2.- 8. mars 2026 vil festivalen for første gang finne sted på både Dansens Hus og i Operaen; det blir forestillinger battles, jams, panelsamtaler og workshops. www.soulsessionsoslo.com
