DH Workshop – Sticky Productions

STICKY Productions invite participants into the sensory world of OOZE — a queer, tactile and
immersive performance inspired by the mating rituals of slugs. Through guided improvisations
and movement scores, we’ll explore how to sense, move and relate beyond the human, working
through touch, vibration, proximity and slow-time.
In different configurations of partners and groups, we’ll dive into elements of our choreographic
process: tentacling, slug speed and fluid desires. We will explore how movement can emerge
from softness, skin and fluid connection, and how attention to texture, rhythm and closeness
can open new ways of moving together.
The workshop offers space for curiosity, playfulness and embodied research, suitable for
professional dancers and advanced students. Participants should expect physical touch and
moments of guided contact.
About the artists:
STICKY Productions (Ingvild Marstein Olsen, Hannah Parsons, Maria Lothe and Liv Edginton)
is a collective of queer dance artists based in Oslo. Their practice delves into the bodily and the
sensitive, the playful and the peculiar. Using the receptive and expressive body to investigate
their subject matter, their performances play between literal and abstract to offer audiences
proximity to imagination and opportunity to kinesthetically absorb stories. Their work OOZE
premiered at Bærum Kulturhus in 2024, following their award-nominated children’s performance
Økohelter (Heddaprisen 2024, Gulljerven 2023).
