Informasjon om workshopen (krever påmelding):
The workshop will focus on the process and material of Navy Blue by Oona Doherty, given through the perspective of Hilde Ingeborg Sandvold – freelance dance-artist in the cast of Navy Blue.
We will start with «drills for skills» – basic work that gets you warm and ready; checking balance, mobility and coordination through practical exercises and simple floor-work in short phrases.
Thereafter, we will learn some set material, and lastly, an improvised score, both from Navy Blue. The materials will give us a chance to practice physical ability, while also clarifying tools for how to perform with different forms of emotional/performative presence.
The set materials have elements of classical ballet, whereas the scores can be interpreted through any form of dance training.

Hilde Ingeborg Sandvold er danser og koreograf. Hun har laget kompanibestillinger for Corpus ved Det Kongelige Teater, og flere soloverk, blant dem «Dans, for Satan» valgt til Aerowaves og Ice-hot 2018 og helaftensverket «GRÅTT» (2021). Som danser har hun samarbeidet med et stort antall koreografer over hele Europa. For øyeblikket er hun å se i Oona Dohertys «Navy Blue», på turné i Nord-Amerika og Europa.
