Caroline Eckly

Caroline Eckly was born in Paris in 1977. She graduated from the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, and started her professional carrier as a ballet dancer with Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse. She rapidly turned to contemporary creation and worked as a free lancer in France and Germany for some years, among others with Blanca Li. She worked at the National Theatre in Nuremberg, Germany between 2002 and 2008 where she danced for various choreographers (such as Jorma Elo, Jo Kanamori, Rui Horta, Tero Saarinen, Rodolfo Leoni, Russel Maliphant). 

She joined Carte Blanche, the Norwegian National Company of Contemporary Dance in 2008 and has participated in all the productions since, along with doing her own projects.
