Det vil ofte være lengre adagioer i senter for å la dansen i seg selv ha et sentralt fokus\, men også for en liten push i utholdenhet og bruk av pust. \nHoppene bygges opp fra bunnen via småhopp til medium jump til større og friere forflytninger i grand allegro. \nI mitt arbeid ønsker jeg å imøtekomme et fokus som gir naturlige ressurser i egen kropp en selvfølgelig plass\, og dermed en bedret opplevelse av funksjonalitet i møtet med teknikk. \nMitt mål er å gi den gode følelsen av en tilfreds- og gjennomarbeidet kropp.

SUMMARY:Workshop med Jo Strømgren og Nora Lønnebotn Svensgård
DESCRIPTION:Beskrivelse av workshopen: \nWorkshopen ledes av Jo Strømgren\, assistert av kompanidanser Nora Lønnebotn Svendsgård. Workshopen utfordrer deltakernes kreativitet og personlige grenser. Det sies at man bør bevege seg utenfor sin egen komfortsone\, men hos oss handler det heller om å utvide komfortsonen.\nJo Strømgrens nye produksjon «the Basement»\, og ikke minst hans arbeidsmetoder vil danne rammen rundt workshopen. Hovedfokus vil være en utforskning av kroppens bevegelsesmuligheter med vekt på impulser\, manipulering og assosiative effekter. Vi vil også jobbe med repertoar\, samt bygge ut bevegelsessekvenser med ulike musikkutdrag\, også her med bevissthet på assosiative effekter. \nKompaniet sørger for trygge og inkluderende rammer. \nJo Strømgren Kompani (JSK) ble stiftet i 1998\, og har utviklet seg til å bli en av Skandinavias mest stabile frigrupper med stadig økende internasjonal eksponering. Kompaniets 19 produksjoner har turnert i rundt 50 land og over 100 forestillinger presenteres årlig på alt fra nasjonale teatre til alternative friscener. Den kunstneriske profilen karakteriseres av sjangerblanding\, store porsjoner absurd humor\, utforskning av kaudervelske språkformer\, bruk av skuespillere som dansende utøvere\, og ikke minst uvanlige valg av tematikk. JSK mottar basisfinansiering gjennom Norsk Kulturråd\, og har hele tiden vært en aktiv initiativtager til samarbeid og co-produksjoner med institusjoner og festivaler i inn- og utland. Kompaniet har fra 2009 hatt base i Oslo. \nJo Strømgren er en allsidig og prisberømt koreograf\, regissør og dramatiker med over 100 produksjoner på CV’en\, både fra inn- og utland. Siden 2013 har han vært tilknyttet Nasjonalballetten på Den Norske Opera og Ballett som huskoreograf. Jo Strømgren Kompani (JSK) er en av Norges største kulturelle eksportartikler\, med en turnéliste som rommer mer enn 60 land. JSKs kunstneriske stil er en unik blanding av dans og teater\, store doser humor kombinert med mørke\, politiske undertoner. Et annet kjennetegn er utforsking av nonsens-språk og leken bruk av fortellerstemme. Forestillingene stiller ofte globale\, samtidsrelevante spørsmål\, men krympes ned til et mikrounivers med en liten gruppe mennesker. \nNora Svendsgård har sin utdannelse fra Royal Swedish Ballet School i moderne dans fra 2019 og har siden vært en del av IT Dansa – et turnerende ungdomskompani i Barcelona hvor hun jobbet med koreografer som Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui\, Akram Khan\, Alexander Ekman\, Lorena Nogal med flere. Svendsgård ble en del av Jo Strømgren Kompani i 2021 som medskapende danser i  «Loftet»\, «Salve Regina»\, «Made in Oslo»\, «Ministeriet for Uforløste Følelser» og nå i vår nye produksjon «The Basement».

Nytt sted:\nWorkshopen er flyttet til Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo\, scene 5\nPRODA Vil være tilstede på Khio fra 08:30 for registrering og eventuell oppvarming. Inngang via Khios resepsjon.\nWorkshopen blir flyttet fordi det foregår grave-arbeid og sprengning som skaper ekstra mye støy rett utenfor PRODAs studio. Workshopens fokus krever konsentrasjon og lytting til kropp og stemme\, og vi vurderte det slik at så mye støy ikke ville kunnet gi deltakerne mulighet for nødvendig konsentrasjon og workshopen en forsvarlig  kontekst.\nPå grunn av bytte av sted\, vil det ikke være garderobefasiliteter før eller etter workshopen. Vi beklager dette\, men deltagere er hjertelig velkomne til PRODA for å ta seg en dusj. \n  \nWorkshop description by Leah Katz  and Leah Marojevic:\nThis workshop will explore how singing in harmony with one another whilst engaging in physical practices found in ‘Unearth’ by Jefta Van Dinther\, surface various emotional landscapes\, and treats this affect as choreographic material. We will work in duos and as a full chorus to generate a perpetual space where performing\, listening and feeling can be practiced and externalised. \n\nLeah Marojević:\nLeah’s practice spans performance\, choreography\, dramaturgy\, mentorship and support for other artists. Choreographic commissions include Pre-Professional Year\, Sydney Dance Company (2019)\, London Contemporary Dance School Graduating Season (2020)\, Mass Hysteria Collective (2020) and Matilde Cerruti Quara\, Jupiter Woods (2020).\nLeah collaborates regularly with Colette Sadler and has worked and performed for visual artists\, companies and choreographers; Ola Maciejewska\, Theo Clinkard\, Jefta Van Dinther\, Megan Rooney\, Paulina Olowska\, Emmilou Rößling\, Sarah Browne\, Sam Williams\, Holly Blakey\, Candoco Dance Company\, Joe Moran among others. In 2019 Leah created ‘The Elsewhen Series’ in collaboration with choreographer Theo Clinkard as well as collaborating on the creations of commissioned works for Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch (2015)\, Danza Contemporanea de Cuba (2016) & Candoco Dance Company (2019) among others.\n\n  \n\n\nLeah Katz:\n \n\nMovement is an integral part of Leah Katz’s life. Trained as a dancer\, having received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from SUNY Purchase\, later becoming a yoga teacher\, the body and its infinite possibilities have always been central. \nLeah has worked regularly as a collaborator with Tino Sehgal\, Jefta van Dinther\, Adam Linder\, Dafna Maimon\, and has worked closely with several artists including Alexandra Pirici\, Kat Valastur\, Jeremy Shaw\, Kareth Schaffer\, Liz Magic Laser\, and others.\nShe also teaches and practices yoga\, co-owns a comedy club\, and is the mother of an endlessly fascinating little human. \n\n……. \n\nWorkshopen er gjort mulig gjennom et samarbeid med ICE HOT Oslo 2023 i forbindelse med at Jefta Van Dinther viser verket sitt «Unearth» under ICE HOT den 17. februar i Jacob Kirke. DESCRIPTION:2 dagers workshop med Philip Berlin (SE)\n \nPris kr.125\,- for to dagers workshop.\nKrever påmelding på Letsreg.no \n\nWorkshopen kommer ta avstamp i rörelsematerial från verket ’Le Scénario’.\nMaterialet i verket elaborerar med konstruerad desorientering\, sensorisk överbelastning\, expansion\, uppbrutna ansatser som bygger på flera och samtidigt överlappande tekniker – en katalysator för komplexa förskjutningar av kroppen. \nSjälva grundförutsättningen för verket är att koreografin utgörs av att nästintill enbart förflytta kroppen hoppandes\, att befinna sig i det spännande ögonblicket där en glider över golvet och befinner sig >>i<< luften så länge som möjligt. \nHuvudsyftet är att utforska olika tekniska aspekter av expansivt hoppande\, i synnerhet fördjupa oss i hoppet stag jump (hjort-hopp). \nWorkshopen er muliggjort gjennom et samarbeid med Ice Hot Oslo 2024 i forbindelse med at Philip Berlin viser sitt verk «Le Scénario». \n\nAbout Philip Berlin’s Le Scénario:\n«Le Scénario» revolves around jumping from the modernist tradition of the 60s and 70s. This blends with post-punk\, confetti rain and male renaissance fashion. The work investigates the finale as a format\, and aims to create dance of high complexity that addresses the pleasure of jumping expansively across the stage. The work explores the moment when the dancer is >>in<< the air\, and is rooted in high frequency dance and interacts with abstraction\, sensory overload and expansion: jumping through space with a multiple changes of direction\, like deers. \n«Le Scénario» av Philip Berlin vises på Den Norske Opera og Ballett\,\n15. februar kl. 16:00.\nInformasjon og billetter her. \n\nPhilip Berlin\nPhilip Berlin (f. 1991) är bosatt i Stockholm och verksam inom dans- och koreografifältet i Sverige och internationellt. DESCRIPTION:AVLYST PGA. SYKDOM \n \nDansens Hus / PRODA workshop med Janne-Camilla Lyster \nLibrary of gestures: et innblikk i metode og prosess \nI denne workshopen får deltakerne et innblikk i koreografiske metoder knyttet til prosjektet «Library of gestures». Prosjektet er informert av bokverket Manual of gesture utgitt i 1875 av Albert M. Bacon\, i tillegg til “bevegelseskor” i europeisk koreografi fra tidlig på 1900-tallet\, komposisjonsteknikker innen perkusjon\, og hvordan forflytninger mellom ulike kunstuttrykk kan produsere nye formater og innsikter. Deltakerne vil få lære hvordan vi i prosjektet har bygget opp en koreografisk syntaks gjennom gester\, og prøve ut komposisjonsøvelser som kombinerer poesi og rytmikk. \n\nJanne-Camilla Lyster er både koreograf\, danser og forfatter. Hun har en rekke forestillinger bak seg\, vist på scener som Dansens Hus\, Balck Box Teater\, Den Norske Opera & Ballett og Det Norske Teatret\, så vel som internasjonalt. Som danser arbeider hun for tiden med et nytt verk av den amerikanske koreografien Deborah Hay. Som koreograf er hun opptatt av hvordan koreografi kan utformes gjennom poesi og kompositoriske partiturer. I hennes doktorgradsprosjekt ved Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo\, Choregraphic Poetry (2019)\, utviklet hun litterære partiturer for dans. \nJanne-Camilla Lyster har premiere på «Library of gestures» på Dansens Hus 14. – 11. april 2024. Caring with as deep listening.\nCaring with is about proposing an embodied multisensory affectively and politically targeted way of knowing\, grounded in sensitizing oneself to each other and the “more than human” sentience\, by asking: what modes of attention and practices of attunement can bring us into responsible relationships? To care with and get carried away! \nThe practice of care creates the condition of being vulnerable to others. A vulnerability that creates space for unpredictable encounters: “we are not in control\, not even of ourselves… we are thrown into shifting assemblages\, which remake us as well as our others”.
