SUMMARY:DSØ Workshop - Laura Cemin
DESCRIPTION:Workshop med Laura Cemin\, Agarra \nThe workshop shares scores and methods from the performance Agarrra by Bianca Hisse and Laura Cemin. We will ask: How do we reference our ancestors? How do we live with many bodies (of memory\, of techniques and traditions\, speculative\, imagined\, and real) within our own? We will begin with a guided visualization to tune our awareness to the present and the past held in our bodies. From there\, we will look into familiar gestures\, games\, and habits\, and work with different layers of translation to transform these into choreographic material. We’ll share\, learn\, reshape\, and discuss this material collectively\, tracing how movement travels\, transforms\, and multiplies from body to body. \nBio: Bianca Hisse (Brasil/Norway) and Laura Cemin (Italy/Finland)’s collaboration was established in 2020. Their work operates at the intersection of visual art\, choreography and installation\, often blurring the boundaries between bodies\, physical objects and verbal language. Their recent work traverses international collaborations with migrant bodies from various territories in the world. Their latest works have been shown at Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art (Helsinki\, Finland)\, Aerowaves Twenty23 Spring Forward Festival (Dublin\, Ireland)\, Studio17 (Stavanger)\, Galerie 35m2 (Prague)\, Soltumatu Tantsu Lava (Tallinn\, Estonia) and Governors Island Arts (New York City\, USA). \nWorkshopen er arrangert i samarbeid med Bærum Kulturhus – Dans Sørøst-Norge. Partene har inngått samarbeid for å styrke tilbudet for profesjonelle dansekunstnere\, i forbindelse med nasjonale og internasjonale gjestespill programmert av Dans Sørøst-Norge.
