SUMMARY:Ballett workshop - repertoar Balanchine
DESCRIPTION:med Eugenie Skilnand \nLet’s have some fun diving into the famous\, complex\, musical & mythical world of\nBalanchine.\nWe´re going to explore the 1-minute female “castanet” variation from the ballet\n“Agon”. Choreographed by Balanchine in 1957 and is a landmark ballet that\nexemplifies his collaboration with composer Igor Stravinsky. The choreography is a blend of classical ballet technique and modern dance elements. \nBalanchine’s use of angular movements\, intricate footwork\, and unexpected rhythms\nbreaks away from traditional ballet norms\, creating a stark\, abstract aesthetic. The\nvariation is set to the rhythmic and percussive sound of castanets\, creating a vibrant\nand lively atmosphere. \nThis solo can be done with or without point shoes in the workshop and can easily be\nadapted to different levels and backgrounds. \n  \nFoto: Maiken Mathisen
