About the classes:
\nI see no difference or boundaries between dance styles or any other physical techniques. To me, they all deal with the understanding of movement dynamics as a mean of expression and communication. So first of all, I will encourage the dancers to think holistically and not stylistically about this class or their careers for that matter.<\/p>\n
Throughout the class we will focus on sequencing flow, transitions, textures and the dynamic interplay of gravity. We will also use martial arts and anatomy concepts applied to ballet. I will also remind the dancers to focus on the intention behind their movements, to use the expressive power of the eyes and the sculpted body.<\/p>\n
The goal of the class is to enhance the virtuosic and athletic aspects of movement with a sense of gestural ease and high-performance precision – allowing the body to become hyperaware and present to be able to perform demanding quality work.<\/p>\n
