I will share both the drills themselves, and the thoughts and strategies they are based on – encouraging whoever joins the class to find a way of working that sparks joy and motivation.

In the class I draw on knowledge from physiotherapists that have helped me reduce, heal and avoid injury, different martial arts (specifically; Jiu-jitsu, Taekwondo and Wing Tsuen) that have given me a practical way to enter complex physical material, and choreographers such as David Zambrano who taught me how to go in and out of the floor. Furthermore, I am inspired by different types of European folk-dance and styles stemming from the African diaspora such as Chicago footwork and house.

The class is mainly set materials, with moments of more open exploration.

Foto:
Hilde Ingeborg Sandvold i egen koreografi GRÅTT
Kostyme: KASPERSOPHIE
Fotograf: Christoffer Brekne

The class offers a series of «drills for skills» – basic work that gets you warm and checks balance, mobility and coordination through practical exercises, simple floor-work and footwork in…

[52
post-10004190","tribe_events","type-tribe_events","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tribe_events_cat-klasser","cat_klasser","tribe-recurring-event","tribe-recurring-event-parent
["GET
