SUMMARY:Workshop Rosalind Goldberg
DESCRIPTION:WORKSHOP ROSALIND GOLDBERG \nIn this workshop\, we will work with methods and practices developed for the production Ornate Saturation. For the last few years\, I have been working with processes of change. Central in my work is the question of what we can expect from the body – to what extent the body can change\, and what sides of the body we hide away from. I’m interested in the unknown\, uncomfortable\, leaking\, fantastic sides of bodily life and in exploring the murky waters where biology and notions of the body rub against each other. Approaching these interests\, I create practices to challenge the habitual in the dancer as a way to stir the body’s representation on stage. The interest in working with the representational possibilities of the dancing body on stage is motivated by the volatility of the body\, the multifaceted and layered aspects of bodily experience\, to show contradictions and tensions\, to show failure and loss of control\, the leaking and absorbing energies that are at work\, and to do that right in front of the spectator’s viewing. During the workshop\, we will delve into parts of the material to discover the rhythms and qualities that form the basis of the performance. \nAbout the performance: Ornate Saturation \nOrnate saturation is a swirl of a three-headed creature turning itself inside out\, swerving\, ornamenting\, reveling\, carving\, destroying\, and resurrecting itself. \nThe piece proceeds from the idea that sensory overload leads to numbness. Through bombarding the senses with fragmentary impressions\, modern technology drugs the organism. The result is a simultaneity of overstimulation and numbness. \nThe performance emerges from the murky interstices of this overload – not born of clarity\, but of the cognitive and bodily sludge left in the wake of information saturation. Out of this disorienting fog\, a terrain takes shape\, one created in the wake of sensory exhaustion. \nOrnate saturation is a speculation on this terrain. A field of assembled bodies\, blurred boundaries\, a mass that emits formatted embroideries while hunted by its own unruly forces. \nPerformed by three dancers\, Ornate Saturation is the second piece in the choreographic series STUPOR.   \n  \nROSALIND GOLDBERG (NO/SE) \nRosalind Goldberg is a choreographer based in Oslo. She holds a PhD in artistic research from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in Oslo\, with the title: Choreography as a meaning-generating aggregate. \nRosalind’s work explores processes of change and is characterized by a physical and conceptual approach to choreography\, where the entanglement of the two directs the process. Central in her work is the question of what we can expect from the body – to what extent the body can change\, and what sides of the body we hide away from. She is interested in the unknown\, uncomfortable\, leaking\, fantastic sides of bodily life and explores the murky water where biology and notions of the body are rubbing against each other. Drawing on inspiration from neurobiology\, philosophy on plasticity\, new materialism\, and notions around the unknown\, she creates practices to challenge the habitual in the dancer as a method to stir around with the body’s representation on stage. \nRosalind’s latest productions are\, DIM (2025)\, DARK DYNAMITE (2022)\, The Field (2020)\, Rut (2018)\, Still Life (2018)\, Immunsystemet (2017)\, Jump with me! (2016)\, MIT (2013)\, Fake Somatic Practice (2011)\, Suites with Rosalind Goldberg (2010)\, A section of falling (2008). \nRosalind’s work has recently been performed at Impulstanz Festival in Vienna\, Tanz Im August in Berlin\, Schauspielhaus Bochum\, Sophiensaele in Berlin\, Schauspielhaus Chemnitz\, Uferstudios in Berlin\, TanzFabrik Berlin\, Dansens Hus in Stockholm\, Inkonst in Malmö\, Dansens Hus in Oslo\, BIT-Teatergarasjen in Bergen\, Henie Onstad Art Center\, Rosendal Teater in Trondheim\, Black Box Teater in Oslo\, RAS – Regional Arean for Samtidsdans\, Weld in Stockholm\, Skogen in Gothenburg\, MDT – Moderna Dansteatern in Stockholm\, ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival in Finland\, et al. \nGoldberg is supported by the Arts Council of Norway through several years of support for the choreographic series STUPOR. DIM (2025) was the first production in that series. Ornate Saturation (2026) will be the second work in the series\, premiering at Black Box Teater in Oslo in September 2026. \n  \nFoto fra forestillingen Dark Dynamite\, foto Iselin Linstad Hauge

SUMMARY:Morgentrening for Scenekunstnere - Kristina Gjems
DESCRIPTION:Taiji – Stillhet i bevegelse\, å puste vårt indre landskap.
